How This Works
Imports to GB
If you are a pet owner or you intend a live animal import to GB, you can request and book our services from your GB Custom Agenct.
Please ask your Pet Travel Agent about our support. Once the booking is confirmed and the communication channels are established, we will contact you by e-mail with the following steps’ details.
For the best outcome and minimal costs we highly recommend booking to be made via your GB Pet Travel Agent.
If you don’t have a Pet Travel Agent, please download and fill in the Application Form and send it to office@ptadvocate.co.uk.
Imports to EU
If you are a pet owner or you intend a live animal import to the EU, you can request our services via our on-line booking system. Please book our service here, download and fill in the Application Form and send it to office@ptadvocate.co.uk.
As soon as you’ll receive the booking confirmation e-mail, we will contact you by e-mail with the following steps’ details.
Documents
Having these done, the traveling documents preparation follows.
At this stage we will give specific guidance of:
- what documents are required,
- who must complete the documents,
- what details need to be filled in,
- how the documents must be completed,
- when the documents need to be completed.
Especially, but not only, if you travel/import from a remote country you might need to pass our guidelines to your Vet preparing the actual documents. Or you can put us in contact so we will guide your Vet throughout this process.
Now having all preparation complete we will review the file to make sure all aspects are satisfactory, and we will issue the PTA Documentary Pre-Checks Certificate.
At last, we will advise you about the document pack accompanying your pet / animal import during the trip.
If all steps are followed according to our advice chances to have Entry Granted for your pet/animal import are maximal.
What can go wrong
There are few circumstances when issues can impede our plan. From our experience we can say that once the PTA Certificate is issued, chances to encounter such a situation are minimal and these matters can be raised only upon arrival during checks. Most of these situations can be resolved in short time. For this, we need to be informed as soon as possible. Time is a critical factor! We will get in contact with the officials performing the checks and we will carry out your pet’s/import’s advocate duties. We will use all our power, knowledge and expertise to achieve the best possible outcome.
PT Advocate does not take responsibility if such issues arise as they are out of our control. However, if by any chance, upon arrival things don’t go as planned, we are here for you.
If the issues identified are out of anyone’s control (for instance, microchip cannot be scanned) we will still be your pet/animal import advocate without extra charges.
If the issues identified (for instance, animal miss-match with documents) are the result of our guidance not being followed we are still happy to advocate it, although extra charges might apply.
